IRF RCD Pre-Claim Review Resubmissions

Published 08/09/2023

When submitting a pre-claim review (PCR) resubmission, there are several fields that must match the initial request in order to validate that the request is a true resubmission, or if the request is for a different beneficiary, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), and/or period of time. Many fields are auto-populated, but during resubmissions, some of these fields may not be available for editing. Fields that are not able to be edited during the resubmission process include:

  • Beneficiary first name
  • Beneficiary last name
  • Beneficiary DOB
  • IRF admission date

Note: Please ensure that the IRF admission date is accurate when submitting the PCR request. If the date was incorrect on the initial submission, the resubmission process cannot be utilized, and a new initial submission is required.
